JAMMU, Dec 5: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today has to face the wrath of local youth over the demand by the NC led government for removal of AFSPA from Jammu and Kashmir.

Omar, who was here to attend a function, was interrupted by a youth who is said to be a member of the Shiv Sena (Bal Thakrey), when he rose to address the gathering.
Omar, who visited village Penthi for laying the foundation stone of Govt. Polytechnic College, was surprised by the events left the function midway.

Though soon after the youth tried to move towards the CM, he was overpowered by the security men and whisked away from the venue, but it created lot of fuss in the function.
The youth demanded that AFSPA should not be removed from the state as it is important to deal with the militancy in the state.

It is second time CM has to face such an unpleasant situation. Few months back a police constable deployed in the security had also tried to meet Omar at a rally in R.S Pura.
Meanwhile CM laid the foundation stone of the polytechnic college.
He said that government has taken many measures to spread the education in the state.
